Patrol Shirt!

Hey guys!
Okay, so this is just to let all of you know that we're getting a patrol shirt. Last guides session not everyone came, and we came up with some rough ideas and stuff. So, coming Wednesday, it would be good if you brought some designs and ideas for the shirt okay! The main idea is that the shirt is gonna be black, with the word flowerpecker, and maybe our names on it. It's supposed to be something simple, and not too flashy, so we can like wear it outside or whatever. Oh, and we're gonna have a patrol outing after EYE's to east coast park and to parkway. Yup, that's about it. Bring your designs! Obbana :D |

hi... here are some photos...of the sabah trip...i think not very impressive though..but i will try to find better ones...can see others at the enventure web site..these are at random...not in order...and most of the pics is get from the website one... :D at changi airport...ok..have to say that the three sec ones..eh....didnt have parents to wait for us to go departure hall then they go...sad...felt quite odd...cos is like almost everyone the parents were like there until we went into the departure hall....jpg)  at the Sabah Guides HQ .jpg) the special brownies.... .jpg) three sec ones and some sec threes .jpg) the sec twos and mdm faridah .jpg) the brownies .jpg) .jpg) .jpg) .jpg) .jpg) the five patrols  mount kinabalu  somewhere on mount kinabalu the trail  the mural ok...quite long a post....haiz..i have to go...cos i havent finish my hw...hehe... ~beatrice~ |

i had nth to post on so i decided to post on reader proficiency badge!!!!
1. Read one of the following: -The wolf that never sleeps -Window to my heart -A man who lived twice 2.Read a book by an eastern and one by Western author 3. Read a book from four of the following: -science, nature -traverl or exploration -foreign country -history -biography -books of poem 4.show how to use a dictionary, book of reference and the index of a book 5. Read aloud -a passage of your own choice from a sacred boook -a passage chosen by the tester environmental proficiency badge: 1. select and view two environmental videos of guides' choice and approved by the tester and do a 150words reflection on each video 2. create one of following: i) log book ii) short video(<15min) iii)powerpoint presentation on one of the following topics a) saving valuable resources b) pollution and how to prevent it c) water disposal in Singapore d) a endangered animal and how it is being protected. 3. using recycled materials, create a useful object(not ornamental) and explain in detail the materials that have been used or make a poster/collage depicting any theme on environmental conservation 4. organise a "go green" or environmental conservation project to increase awareness of the community jiayous people! we can do it! finish the badge although it may be a bit dry... cya, luoting |

common test over!

common test over! so i can blog now.
since i wanted this blog, i need to update it and keep it alive as much as possibe or it will be juz useless... blog about today's guides session! sec 2 coy 2 did box oven while sec 1 did firelighting n sec 3s teaching and help. box oven was fun and was such a miracle tt the box oven we made which was tearing apart managed to survive thru the whole cooking part n was still in a good condition! haha, ours e best! canit judge sth by its look! it may not look perfect but it is actually when u get to know it better! xD anyway, sabrina missed the fun as she was in NDP! proud of her! haha i went to do firelighting to have ember for our box oven to cook food! n so...my eyes was teary and nose was blocked and juz couldn't open my eyes! however, it was a success and FUN! haha. miaoxiang help too! she put the sand on top! xP i was actually a miracle tt a box wif aluminium foil pasted all over can cook food plus BAKE CHOC CAKE! we cook bread, choc cake, chicken! and we ate it! it taste okay! p.s i lost my fork n spoon! it's a pair which is yellowish-orange at the base! any1 saw it! cos it actually belong to one big set of all these fork n spoon n now, without tt it will b incomplete set... |
